First off Hello to everyone out there. I remember watching the Episode 1 of psphacking101 and well many many moons later I got my PSP. It is a Phat/Fat 1001 with 5.51 version on it. This is the way I bought it off my friend.. Well let's say I own the PS now. Either way. My question is Can this be downgraded with a Pandora Battery to any homebrew version? Can this be downgraded with software only?

I'm really new to this so any help would be appreciate it. I found a Pandora Battery for about $13 w/s&h so if I need it, I'll get it.

First off, welcome to the forums. It's good to see fresh faces that hopefully stick around for more than a couple posts.

Second, yes the PSP1000 can be downgraded regardless of firmware version with Pandora. Head on over to the How-To section and check out Pandora Downgrading.

wow. hello to all. i'm new to this forum thing and i am new to psp. all this info has locked my brain up. i have a psp which i bought off my brother. it has software virsion 5.02 on it. and i need to know how to mod it. so i can read pdf files on it and play home brew games.
